It is our pleasure to announce a free yeast giveaway and baking competition sponsored by Red Star Yeast for KosherEye readers. To celebrate the introduction of Red Star Yeast newest "Star", PLATINUM, they are offering FREE samples of PLATINUM yeast to our readers.

If you are a baker, or an aspiring baker, enter to join our RED STAR Yeast Sampling program. The first 50 entries we receive will be selected to participate in this free fun event. All we ask is that you try out this extraordinary new product and share your results. Now how hard is that when you get to eat what you baked AND you just may win a great prize for your effort! Deadline for your entries is midnight, November 1st, 2012.

Step 1:
How to Enter:

Use the email form below and include the following information:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your complete shipping address
• Name of the recipe(s) you will be testing

Entries that do not contain the above information cannot be considered. We must receive your entry by Thursday, November 1st, 2012.  We will notify you if your entry has been selected and the free Platinum yeast samples will be shipped directly to you.

Step 2:
50 Participants Selected:
Once we have selected the first 50 entries for participation, we will forward the information to Red Star Yeast and they will ship each participant 3 packages of Red Star Platinum Yeast. Your assignment is to start baking and incorporate PLATINUM Yeast into your recipe.  Participants will be notified, November 5th, 2012.

When you are finished testing the free samples of PLATINUM Yeast, send us, via  email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it the following information by November 26th, 2012:

1. The written recipe
2.  Your comments about the product and any other info you would like to share
3.  A picture (if possible) of the finished baked product
4. Your telephone number

Step 3:
Winners are Selected:
We will submit 10 of the recipes to Red Star Yeast and they will award the following prizes to 3 lucky winners:

1. Grand Prize Winner:  A PLATINUM wood cutting board and apron, PLATINUM yeast for a year (52 packages), and a $50 King Arthur Flour Baker’s Catalog gift card.
