It's Mandelicious!

When our own family's heirloom recipe for homemade Mandelbread is not available, (yes, sometimes we are too busy to bake it), we have grown to love Papa Ben's. It is crunchy, delicious and parve.
We were brought up as homemade mandelbread purists, but we admit, Uncle Ben's creative flavors are lovely alongside a hot cup of coffee. Yes, truly, almost as good as our Bubbie's!

Belgian Chocolate bits are baked into Mandelbroyt, then laced with almonds, pecans, coconut, raisins and cherries.

Papa Ben's Kitchen Lemon Blueberry With Poppy Seeds
This twice baked Lemon Blueberry with Poppy Seed Mandelbroyt is a "fusion of tastes" -- citrus, sweet blueberry and poppy seeds.

Papa Ben's Mandelbroyt is also available in Minty Dark Chocolate, Chocolate Espresso Bean and Spicy Chipotle with Ginger & Dark Chocolate, so we guess we have more tasting to do! Papa Ben Lesser, is the author of Living A Life That Matters: From Nazi Nightmare to American Dream.

Papa Ben, a Holocaust survivor, was born in Krakow, Poland in 1928. His father, Lazar owned a chocolate company famous for their chocolate covered wafer cookies. Lazar shared his love of baking with his son, and during family holidays they made Mandelbroyt, a type of twice-baked bread that is similar to Italian biscotti or almond bread. Thus-- the origin of the company!
A percentage of the profits from Papa Ben's Kitchen is donated to the Zachor Holocaust Remembrance Foundation. The Foundation's mission is to ensure that the tragedies of the Holocaust will never be forgotten.

David Zulberg, the author of the book The Life-Transforming Diet published by Feldheim, is considered one of the foremost experts in Maimonides' medical works. This book, 'The Life Transforming Diet', is currently in its sixth printing.

    Spice Up Your Life

We have rarely met a company so confident about their product that they told us that we would fall in love. When Lawhorn's tweeted us that this spice made almost everything taste even more delicious, we simply couldn't resist challenging the claim. After all, that's one of the missions of KosherEye -- seeking out the newest, best and most convenient products for the kosher kitchen.

First, however, we validated kashrut with our consulting Rabbi Reuven Stein of the AKC since the product simply bears a "K". Our findings: it was recommended. Rabbi Howard L. Seif of Hollywood, Florida supervises it as kosher, parve. Once the kashrut was approved, we began to shake, shake, shake.
